Summary:

Connie finds herself questioning where, Whit and Eugene could possibly be, and finds an answer! Read Part 1.

Whit carefully studied the situation as he was sitting in his metal chair wherever he was. He tried yelling to Eugene, but failed as the walls must be too thick. Hank never came back, it was hard to say how much time had past since Hank made the ransom demand. Whit prayed that Connie was safe, ultimately Whit had no idea if Connie was even alive, that was the hardest thing about being trapped.

Connie counted the hours until it was time to rise from her bed and continue her routine that was created for her to continue until Whit and Eugene were found, and the kidnapper was apprehended. Laying upon her blue cotton sheets, she cried not knowing if Eugene or even Whit were alive. After around ten minutes of “literally crying her eyes out” as Jillian would say, Connie with haste completed her morning routine and settled in for another quiet day locked up inside.

Hank finished shaving the last of his hair off of his head and shoved the razor back into his tightly fitting bag as he rushed off into the morning hours of the day. “Today was the day” he thought to himself as he rounded a corner. Over the past day he had made a complete body transformation into another person, he didn’t even walk like Hank Murray. He quickly but calmly carried himself across McAlister park until he reached his destination of Whit’s End.

Even half a block away, the entire location was covered with police and security. Luckily for hank he didn’t even need to walk thru the door to get in, he had been planning this for years. When he reached his tunnel, he ducked down, removed the cover, climbed in, and started his journey under odyssey. Hank learned how to create destroy and the entire in and outs of bombs, while he was on probation he had time. Thats why he was going to blow up Whit’s End, he just needed to grab something first. “Silly really” he thought to himself, he just needed to download the information for the imagination station and he was out of there.

Downloading the Imagination station was never in the original plans, it was only until some guy offered him ten thousand dollars to do it. He didn’t even know who he was working for, just nicknamed the “chairman”. All he wanted to do was kill everyone and get all of Whit’s money, but this man promised he would make their down fall much much worse than a quick death. All of his death threats were just talk, he was never going to kill anyone. He just was in it for the money. Hank got the information and got out.

Whit had been working on his rope ever since Hank left, now sure he wasn’t coming back, he was fiercely pulling and tugging at the ropes. He almost almost almost, “GOT IT” Whit screamed, he jumped up and regretted how fast he jumped as he felt dizzy but forcing himself to not faint he looked around the room. Whit yelped as he saw a huge bomb in the middle of the room ticking with a thirty minute count down on the face. He was in a box kind of room with a singular light, he banged on the window but Eugene was delusional from not being able to see and talk, so he was unconscious. He tried to figure out where Hank got out and soon found a trap door on the ceiling, but it was locked of course. His only hope was Eugene.

Connie sat in her medium sized sofa thinking about people who wanted revenge on all of them, this was apart of her routine, then she sprang up and knew who it was. There was no doubt in Connie’s mind when she called the detective on the case. The capturer was Hank Murray, she gave them his description and as it turned out, Hank had escaped from prison a few months ago. Connie knew exactly where Whit and Eugene were she sprinted to her car and gunned it to Jason’s antique shop, Jason was installing a basement and had it would be a perfect place to hide people.

When Connie arrived at the shop she burst out of her car, ran inside, and was about to open the trap door to the basement but it was locked. Just when she stood up she heard someone yell and wanted to scream it was Whit! Connie responded and found out that there was a bomb, that was when the police showed up. The door was hooked up to some sort of automatic detonator that would blow up the entire building, unlike the bomb under Connie’s car this bomb did not have a password, most likely because Hank wasn’t planning on letting them free.

When Jason arrived he explained that there was another entrance if they all went around back. Jason led them over to the other entrance and when the medical team got inside they found Eugene unconscious. Jason told the team that the basement was supposed to be two rooms except he didn’t get around to putting in the door. The police found a camera videoing them, and when the detective asked Whit, he said that there must be a screen in his room live-streaming what was happening. When it came down to it, nobody could get Whit out of the second room!

Then a text came through on Connie’s screen.

Lift from the top. “Laugh Now, Pray Later” See you soon, Connie. – Chairman

Connie jumped into motion immediately and told Whit the instructions. Whit quickly flew across the room and lifted the top of the bomb off and entered a password on the touch screen, the bomb broke down into hundreds of little bits. After the bomb was destroyed the door was removed and besides a few scratches, Whit was a saved man. Connie whispered “Thank you, God.”
