Summary:

Connie thinks its just another normal day at Whit’s End, however, little does she know how much her life will change in the matter of an hour.

Connie quietly counted the lingering hours until her lengthly shift ended at Whit’s End. When the face of the clock on the wall read 5:30 pm, Connie felt a little ray of joy pass over her quiet afternoon. Whit was supposed to come in at 5:45 to take over until close, Eugene was upstairs in the train room taking down the Christmas decorations. She let out a little sigh as a little kid asked for an ice cream cone, she would have to retreat to the back to retrieve the ice cream that the young girl desired.

At 5:43 Whit, her boss, climbed slowly up the steps to enter the ice cream shop. Connie let out a tune of happiness as Whit opened the door. “Hi Connie, sorry I’m later than usual” Whit said, Connie replied with “It’s ok it has been quiet all afternoon”.

~8 minutes earlier~

Eugene took down the last decoration and noticed the clock showed 6:35 pm, he had arrived at 6:00 and was to leave tritely at 9:00 pm. Eugene moved across the room away from the door to gather small boxes for the decorations. Suddenly, a man jumped on top of Eugene, making them both stumble onto the ground. Everything happened so fast that Eugene had no way of controlling what would happen next. All he saw was Hank Murray cover his face with a wet cloth that smelled like chlorophyl, Eugene struggled as he tried to knock Hank off of himself but he needed to breath and and…

~Present Time 6:45 pm~

Connie went into the back to grab her purse, when she was walking out she yelled goodbye to Eugene but got no response, though she thought this was a little weird she was a little anxious to get out of here. Connie quickly flew down the steps to her car, as she hopped in, she heard a loud click. Connie had seen too many mystery movies and crimes to know, that there was a real life bomb under her chair.

Connie started shaking, but forced herself not to as the realization set in of what was happening. She carefully pulled out her phone and called Whit’s End, Nobody answered. Next she called 911, and told them what was going on. The police immediately jumped into action calling the bomb squad and trying to get ahold of whit.

Police cars, Firetrucks, the bomb squad, all streamed the streets of Odyssey. They had confirmed that a real bomb was under the seat of Connie’s car. Whit, and Eugene were pronounced missing.

~Present Time in another part of town~

Eugene woke in a small dark room, he could barely see his hands in front of him. There were four stone walls, and the only things inside were himself and one chain link on the wall attached to a chain which was attached to him. Which was pointless since there was no entrance and exit.

~ Connie’s Car Present Time~

Connie was full force crying and was a mess, nobody knew what to do in the moment. The entire town was evacuating since nobody exactly knew how big the bomb would be. Three people carefully were picking at the bomb under her seat. They said the only way to turn the bomb was to enter a code on the face of the bomb.

~Present Time in another part of town~

Whit woke up tied to a chair, looking into a dimly lit room with a person inside. A person spoke behind Whit “Good morning John Avery Whittaker”, Whit immediately recognized the voice as Hank Murray’s. “What do you want, Hank” Whit said, “I want to destroy your life’s work, and some friends along the way” Hank responded. “What do you mean my life’s work” Whit said “Whit’s End for one” said Hank.

Whit recognized Eugene as the person in the next room, Hank wanted to play games, and he was going to use Eugene as a hostage. Hank explained that he would need to answer questions and if he did it correctly he could turn off a bomb that was apparently under connie’s car. He didn’t know what was true and a lie. All Whit knew was that Eugene was in the room in front of him screaming for someone to let him out.

“What do you need to know?” Whit asked, he wasn’t taking any chances on Connie or Eugene’s lives. “What is the password to access all of the information for the imagination station?” Whit answered with his secure password.

~Present Time Connie’s Car~

The police received an anonymous call with the password to turn off the bomb under Connie’s car. Connie was rushed to an ambulance parked a block away from her car, when she was looked over and given a clean bill of health, she finally embraced Jules and Jillian in a warm family hug. She was extremely worried about Whit and Eugene, but not knowing how to help, went home.

~Present Time in another part of town~

Hank told Whit “Eugene will die by midnight unless you transfer 17 billion dollars to my account” Whit yelled “You can’t do this!”.
