KeyLimeKeys71

Summary:

This is my version of what happened to Eugene on the day of his bathtub incident.

Eugene dumped all of his cleaning solution into the bathtub. Scribbling intently on a pad, he took note of what was happening in the tub. While dumping in the solution, he accidentally got some on his shoes, he wasn’t paying any attention to the deteriorating laces on the floor because he was too busy watching the bathtub crumble into three pieces. Quickly, he ran out of the room to get help. Eugene thought to himself that he must have put too much sulfuric acid in the mixture.

Until he was downstairs he noticed that his shoes were no longer on his feet. His feet intensely burned as he tore the socks from his toes since the ankle of the sock was no more. Eugene’s parents, Thelma and Lenard, rushed into the room. His feet were burning now, suddenly the bathroom collapsed into the downstairs den. Lenard scolded Eugene as he escorted all of them out of the house.

Eugene’s feet singed as the acid worked thru his feet. Lenard rushed him to the hospital and Thelma called the fire department. The doctor rushed Eugene into surgery When Eugene woke up his left foot was now partly replaced with metal plates and screws.

When everyone was safe, Eugene said “I apologize”, but Lenard wasn’t having it; “Eugene,” he said “you cannot use these dangerous chemicals with out my permission” pointing at the shelf in the garage. Thelma, coming to Eugene’s rescue pointed out “Lenard, Eugene was only trying to help us!”. Eugene watched this fight go on all afternoon. He sat on his bed waiting for something, someone to come and talk to him, but no one came, and no one talked.

Eugene never forgot what happened that day.
