Eugene gets entangled into an interesting experience in northern Georgia. Will he make it out alive?

Thanks for reading! 🙂 Hopefully you’re enjoying this new type of genre I’ve been figuring out..

Happy?

Eugene felt many things after moving away from Odyssey. Was happy one of them? No, definitely not.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That was months ago. Now, Eugene had grown into a quirky routine in Baltimore, he started making new friends and had created a whole new life with his family. He was happy, things had gotten better several months after his relocation.
Eugene sat in his plane seat contemplating the time between before and after his move. He was proud of his decision. Eugene was on a plane traveling from Baltimore, Maryland to a small town in northern Georgia that he couldn’t even remember the name of. He chuckled at the thought of this business trip, the thought of getting away from a place he barely knew to start with didn’t really feel like a vacation. Perhaps more of a vacation away from a vacation. Regardless of the fact he was always up for the exploration of places of which he had never seen before.
“Woah!”
Eugene was jerked awake from the feeling of the plane starting to land. It was a rainy, and cloudy day, you couldn’t see the top of the lush green mountains. This fit Eugene’s proverbial aesthetic perfectly.
The plane finished landing and Eugene slowly exited with the other passengers off the buzzing plane. He took a whiff of the fresh mountain air, it was truly magical. After making a work call to alert his boss of his landing, he got in his Uber to bring him to his residence for the next few days.
Eugene starred at the slowly moving raindrops on the window as the driver made small talk in the front seat of his gray Toyota Camry. The scenery was beautiful outside.
He arrived at his cabin, it had a rustic brown personality and a pretty view of northern Georgia.
He awoke to a startling crash. Eugene quickly checked his clock, it read 3:00 AM. Who was in his home at three in the morning in the middle of morning?
The answer was a rabid bear. This bear was asleep in the middle of the living room. Eugene slowly crept along the wall to exit the cabin, praying he wouldn’t awake the vicious animal. Keeping his cool, he touched his palm against the edge his door handle. The door opened releasing crisp night air into the room.
Eugene ran out into the open start night, the rain had cleared. He ran into his car and started the engine. He kept the front door in his eyesight at all times. He decided he would need to get the bear out and then he would be alright.
“How did this bear get into my cabin?” “What am I going to do?”
These questions kept popping into Eugene’s head as he carefully walked towards his front door. Then, he screamed. With every single ounce of blood in his body, he screamed, and didn’t stop for what seemed like hours.
The bear roared and stormed out of the small home in the middle of no where and ran into the tree-line. Eugene scrambled to the car, and took the keys out. Then ran back inside to lock the door.
While catching his breath, he turned on all of the lights and called his boss. He informed him he would not be able to get the samples he needed due to an unforeseen encounter with a predator.
The next day he was on a flight back to his “home” in Baltimore, Maryland. He wouldn’t miss his trip in northern Georgia. That was all he was sure of.
He ran brushing sweat and tears out of his eyes just trying to keep his thoughts and ideas straight without intertwining them into an endless panic rush. Scratches and wounds were building on his cheeks and the blood was falling into his white shirt creating a scarlet stain that wouldn’t come out later.
He dropped into a puddle of mud and looked into the dusty sky, tears continued dropping into the mud. He kept thinking of each happy memory, and started to realize this might be his 7 minutes. He wouldn’t stop crying, and screaming with blood soaking into the bitterness of his tongue. He screamed for what felt like hours into deep, empty, space. His throat was sore, his tongue was dry, his heart was empty.
He was done. His yearning for safety was over and nothing scared him. He grabbed a sharp appearing stick and stabbed it over and over into the growling bear’s eye. screaming in desperation, teeth sunk into his side and he felt no more pain. It was over. It was done.
THANKS 4 READING um sorry if that was like really cringey or just bad 💀
